Fredrikson & Byron is seeking an experienced Real Estate M&A Attorney to join our Real Estate Department in Minneapolis, with potential offices in Mankato or Madison as stated. The role involves handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions within M&A and corporate contexts.

Candidates should have 5+ years of transactional real estate experience, strong drafting skills on leases, and the ability to coordinate real estate due diligence and risk assessment across deal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transactional real estate experience.
• Experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial leases.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong academic background.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; ability to sit for Minnesota admission.

Responsibilities

• Advise on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions in M&A and corporate contexts.
• Lead and coordinate real estate due diligence and risk assessment in deals.
• Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, mortgage documents, and related filings.
• Collaborate with real estate, corporate, PE, M&A, finance and tax teams.
