Fredrikson & Byron is seeking an experienced Real Estate M&A Attorney to join the Real Estate Department in our Madison area offices with options for Mankato or Minneapolis. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of transactional real estate experience, including negotiating and drafting complex leases and handling real estate duties within fast-paced corporate transactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transactional real estate experience with ability to independently handle core real estate tasks.
• Significant experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial leases.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills.
• Strong academic background.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and ability to promptly get admitted in Minnesota

Responsibilities

• Lead real estate aspects of sophisticated M&A and corporate transactions.
• Coordinate real estate due diligence, title, survey, zoning, leases and related risks.
• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and related documents for buyers and sellers.
• Manage closings of real estate sale, purchase and financing transactions.
• Collaborate with real estate, corporate, private equity, M&A, finance and tax teams on regional and national matters
