Job summary

RSM is seeking a Senior Associate for its Real Estate Finance as a Service (FaaS) practice in the New York area. This hands-on role requires managing month-end close, financial reporting, and audit support for middle-market clients with substantial real estate assets.

You will interact with client executives and lead a team of associates, leveraging Yardi, MRI and other cloud-based tools to drive accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Experience with property-level accounting and working with property managers required.
• Experience with Real Estate technology systems such as Yardi, MRI required.

Responsibilities

• Lead transaction processing and account reconciliations for client engagements.
• Serve as key contact for Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, and Month End Close cycles.
• Review monthly journal entries and prepare/interpret financial statements with variance analysis.
• Identify process improvements and document repeatable methodologies for future projects.
• Collaborate with client teams and the FaaS tech stack to optimize month-end close.
