Job summary

RSM US LLP's Real Estate Finance as a Service (FaaS) practice seeks a Supervising level professional to manage month-end close, financial reporting, and budgeting for private, middle-market clients with real estate assets managed.

You will lead client engagements, coach junior staff, and leverage our cloud-based tech stack (Yardi, MRI, and automation tools) to drive efficiency and accuracy while communicating insights to CFOs and executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Experience performing and reviewing property-level accounting and finance functions.
• Experience working with property managers to resolve accounting issues and explain variances.
• Expertise in Real Estate technology systems (Yardi, MRI).
• Excellent communication across all organization levels.
• Progressive experience in accounting/financial management in real estate environments.
• Experience in FP&A (financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• CPA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Key point of contact for Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash and Month End Close cycles.
• Lead, manage, and coach client services staff.
• Support month end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare/Review monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
• Analyze financial information and provide actionable insights for clients.
• Identify opportunities to enhance monthly operations and drive efficiencies.
• Define repeatable methodologies and templates for future projects.
• Establish engagement budgets and take accountability over engagement economics.
• Direct initial assessments and onboarding of new FaaS clients.
• Participate in meetings with new client prospects and proposals.
• Oversee billing and collections of client invoices.
