Job summary

AMH (American Homes 4 Rent) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to contribute to companywide financial planning and forecasting. You will partner with stakeholders to develop short- and long-term analyses of operations and property-level performance, preparing budgets, forecasts, and reports.

The role requires strong SQL and BI skills, GAAP knowledge, and experience with large datasets. Familiarity with Yardi Voyager and CRM systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and developing automated reports.
• CPA preferred.
• Basic understanding of GAAP accounting and SOX compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze internal operational data to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Prepare materials for public reporting and investor communications, including SEC filings and presentations.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to support decision‑making and forecasting.
• Build and maintain dashboards using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Extract and analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights.
