Job summary

Invitation Homes is seeking an Analyst, Asset Management to provide research, analysis, reporting and development for the Asset and Investment Management Group. The role supports capital allocation, budgeting and planning, and underwriting of investment properties.

The ideal candidate has a finance/real estate background with up to 2 years of asset management/data analysis experience, strong modeling skills, and proficiency in Salesforce, Yardi, Tableau or PowerBI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
• Quantitative degree or supportive coursework preferred.
• 0 to 2+ years of experience in residential asset management or institutional real estate; single family preferred.
• 0 to 2+ years of experience in extensive, detailed data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency using Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; basic OS tools.
• Knowledge of federal fair housing laws and local housing provisions.
• Ability to create and design general marketing pieces for in-house production.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analyses and reports.
• Assist with property level asset management decisions and implementation of Asset Management programs.
• Underwrite investment properties, establishing monthly rental rate, property value and required capital investment.
• Support capital allocation, budgeting and planning processes.
• Write financial reports and query data from company information systems.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Forecast and summarize organizational trends.
• Create ad hoc reports, graphs and charts of financial data.
• Develop models for various financial conditions related to Asset and Investment Management, Accounting and Operations.
• Provide tracking and analysis of trends in operating areas.
• Prepare Daily Cash Analysis reports and weekly Cash Forecasting.
• Prepare and analyze Consolidated Reporting to Investors.
• Provide backup to Accounting when required.
• Research real estate markets for opportunities.
• Analyze and propose improvements to investment and management processes.
• Monitor and evaluate financial and operating results; track market indicators.
