Atlanta Housing in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Manager of Real Estate Accounting to lead the Real Estate Accounting Team within Finance, supporting REG, CN, and FOM for AH-owned properties.

You will oversee budgeting, financial reporting in GAAP, and collaborate with senior management on annual budgets, contracts, and capital plans, including HUD compliance and complex housing programs. A strong background in accounting, leadership, and familiarity with Yardi is required; MBA or CMA preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business management or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience required, preferably within the Public Housing and/or Real Estate industries.
• MBA/CMA preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting theory, principles, and practices.
• Familiarity with HUD rules and CFR.
• Experience leading a high-performance team.
• Experience managing multiple projects.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and guide staff, including supervising and developing team members to ensure accuracy and timely work.
• Lead budget processes for REG, FOM, and CN projects per AH guidelines; prepare schedules and assumptions.
• Direct AH-Owned Residential Communities’ annual budget process with PMDs; manage operating and capital budgets.
• Oversee HomeFlex and MIXED Communities budgets and related activities with Asset Managers.
• Provide financial guidance to PMDs and REG Senior Management on financial matters.
• Participate in site-based budgeting, forecasts, and asset management discussions.
• Oversee CGM module in Yardi for funding sources and contract administration.
• Oversee monthly HomeFlex and Operating Subsidy payments and tax-in-lieu calculations.
• Develop and monitor policies, procedures, budgets, and cost controls for REG operations.
• Conduct quality control audits and ensure consistent processes.
• Review financing commitments and agreements for low-income housing tax credit properties; ensure accuracy of recording.
• Identify required accruals during the year and year-end in GAAP compliance.
