Radiant in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Senior Reactor Engineer to lead testing and verification of core hardware and subsystems for Kaleidos microreactor. You will define tests, analyze data, and drive design improvements in collaboration with nuclear, mechanical, thermal, and controls teams.

The ideal candidate has strong fundamentals in mechanical systems, heat transfer, and reactor safety, with hands-on test engineering and procedure development experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in reactor engineering or hardware testing.
• Experience developing and executing component tests and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and verification of reactor components, mechanisms, and subsystems.
• Own test activities from requirements and planning to data analysis and documentation.
• Develop test plans, instrumentation requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Translate test results into design improvements with traceability.
