Job summary

Oracle is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to design, deploy, and operate a global RDMA‑based network fabric for OCI. You’ll work across data centers, coordinate with TPMs, and mentor junior staff while driving automation, telemetry, and scalable network solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in network engineering, strong protocol knowledge, and Python scripting. The role requires up to 25% travel and on‑site collaboration in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related engineering with 5+ years of Network Engineering experience or master’s with 3+ years.
• Experience in large ISP or cloud provider environments; RDMA Networking is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS, BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP; VxLAN/EVPN advantageous.
• Scripting or automation experience and data center design; Python preferred.
• Experience with monitoring, telemetry, and network modeling with YANG/OpenConfig/NETCONF.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with managers to develop milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and safely execute network changes using existing procedures and tools.
• Create solutions enabling front line support for network failure conditions.
• Troubleshoot data center cabling and coordinate on‑site efforts between L1 teams and TPMs.
• Travel to data centers; 25% travel required.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to roadmaps and design processes.
• Provide break‑fix support and lead post‑event root cause analysis.
• Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and integrate tooling with monitoring.
