Job summary

Oracle seeks an experienced network engineer to design, deploy, and operate a large‑scale global network supporting OCI. You will work on RDMA‑based fabric with hundreds of thousands of devices, delivering reliable, scalable connectivity for AI/ML workloads.

The role requires 6+ years in network engineering, strong scripting, and familiarity with MPLS/BGP/EVPN. Collaborative, on‑call, and cross‑functional leadership are essential in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related engineering with 6+ years of network engineering experience.
• Experience in a large ISP or cloud provider environment; RDMA Networking a plus.
• Strong knowledge of MPLS, BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, TCP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP; VxLAN/EVPN a plus.
• Proficient in scripting/automation and data center design (Python preferred).
• Experience with networking protocols TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and SSL.
• Experience with network monitoring and telemetry solutions.
• Experience with NETCONF/YANG/OpenConfig and network modeling.
• Ability to resolve complex issues independently and communicate effectively.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program managers to develop milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and safely execute network changes using existing procedures, or create new ones.
• Develop solutions to enable front line support to act on network failures.
• Contribute to network solution design and roadmap development.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and post‑event root cause analysis.
• Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and coordinate with tooling teams.
• Build dashboards and alerts for multi‑layer network visibility.
• Serve as SME on network automation and monitoring projects.
