Job summary

TYLin is seeking a senior Principal Project Manager for Rail & Transit to lead complex programs in the Pacific Northwest. This role emphasizes delivery, leadership, and multidisciplinary coordination across civil, structural, track, and systems disciplines.

You will balance project execution with client development, mentoring, and shaping pursuits to strengthen TYLin’s regional presence. Hybrid work and a culture of technical excellence are offered.

Qualifications

• 15–25+ years in Rail & Transit project delivery.
• Proven track record as Project Manager/Director on major rail/transit projects.
• Deep expertise in civil, structural, track, systems, or transit infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder coordination.
• Established relationships within the Pacific Northwest transportation market or ability to build them quickly.
• Experience with public-sector transportation agencies, transit authorities, municipalities, contractors, or program partners.
• Experience supporting pursuits and contributing to winning work (not sole sales target ownership).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil or Structural Eng, Architecture, or related field.
• PE/RA or equivalent registration preferred depending on discipline.
• Strong communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex rail and transit projects across the Pacific Northwest (primary focus ~70%).
• Mentor and strengthen technical teams including engineers, designers, and project staff.
• Support client development and pursuits with market knowledge and credibility.
• Coordinate with transit agencies, municipalities, contractors, and partners throughout delivery.
