Job summary

Egis Group, based in Sacramento, CA, seeks a Project Lead, Rail Systems to guide the delivery of complex rail and transportation infrastructure projects from design through testing and handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and manage systems integration across signaling, power, communications, and OT, ensuring successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in rail/infrastructure programs, strong leadership, and expertise in program controls, budgeting, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• 15+ years delivering rail or large infrastructure programs.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning teams.
• Strong program leadership with budget, schedule, and risk management.
• Expertise in systems integration, signaling, power, SCADA, and related infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, CEng, INCOSE, or PRINCE2.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and integration of rail systems from design through construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage program scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, safety, and performance across multiple contracts.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Coordinate integration across signaling, communications, power, SCADA, OT, infrastructure, and operations.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with clients, contractors, suppliers, regulators, utilities, and project partners.
• Oversee commercial, technical, operational, and contractual decision-making to support project delivery.
• Drive operational readiness, system acceptance, testing, and project closeout.
