Egis is seeking an Engineer, Signaling for our Sacramento, CA office. You will develop signaling solutions, coordinate interfaces, and support project delivery through implementation and readiness.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has extensive railway signaling experience, PE licensure, and a proven track record delivering signaling systems from design to acceptance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure.
• 10+ years in railway signaling or rail systems engineering.
• Experience delivering signaling systems through design, integration, testing, commissioning, and acceptance.
• Experience with ETCS/ERTMS/CBTC/PTC/ATO/ATP signaling techs.
• Strong systems integration and safety-critical transport systems knowledge.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and contractors on complex projects.

Responsabilités

• Develop, review, and approve signaling engineering deliverables through design, construction, testing, and commissioning.
• Support requirements management, system architecture development, and interface coordination across teams.
• Review supplier and contractor designs for compliance with standards and operational needs.
• Provide technical oversight for digital signaling and train control systems (interlockings, traffic management, train detection, communications, automation).
• Prepare and review documentation supporting safety, regulatory, and operational approvals.
• Develop and support testing, commissioning, system integration, defect resolution, and handover activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and system handover.
