Job summary

The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of radiographic procedures under the direction of the Manager Medical Imaging and Lead Technologist. You will ensure image quality, safety, and patient comfort while working with DR/CR systems and RIS/PACS for physician review.

Qualifications

• Completion of AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Current Rhode Island license to work in RI and ARRT certification.
• CPR certification from recognized provider (AHA/BLS).
• Two letters of recommendation within previous 3 months from colleagues attesting to professionalism and competence.

Responsibilities

• Explain radiologic examinations to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Schedule radiologic examinations to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment.
• Process images for RIS/PACS and review with physicians.
• Maintain safety, infection control and equipment protocols.
• Rotate within department, including weekends and holidays.
• Assist in training radiologic technology staff and students.
