Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures for optimal diagnostic results.

Qualified candidates will be ARRT(R) certified, hold a valid radiologic technologist license, and possess an associate degree or higher in radiologic technology. Strong patient care and safety emphasis required.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiography certification current and in good standing.
• Licensed radiologic technologist in relevant jurisdiction (IEMA or equivalent).
• Education in radiologic technology with an associate degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures ensuring complete and accurate examinations.
• Exhibits competency and serves as resource for staff during radiographic procedures.
• Knows exam-specific views, uses filters, collimation, markers and proper patient identification.
• Maintains radiation protection and patient comfort throughout procedures.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and acts as a resource for troubleshooting.
• Prepares and stocks supplies, maintains a clean work area, and assists with QA/QC.
• Performs lab testing as appropriate.
• Trains technologists and students; participates in department development and teamwork.
• Ensures efficient patient flow and timely reporting in HIS/Radiant/PACS.
