Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures for patients of all ages under Radiologist direction. The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures for optimal imaging, while maintaining patient comfort and radiation safety.

The position emphasizes practical expertise, teamwork, and ongoing professional development within a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

Registered in Radiography (R) – ARRT
BLS within 30 days – AHA
Licensed Radiologic Technologist (Illinois) in Radiography
Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology
Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology

Responsibilities

Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures with accuracy and adherence to imaging guidelines
Mentors staff on radiographic views, filters, collimation, and patient identification
Maintain patient comfort and radiation protection during procedures
Ensure equipment is functioning, troubleshoot with department resources
Maintain clean work area, stock supplies, and manage room readiness
Assist in lab testing as appropriate
Process and prepare images and paperwork promptly for reports
Coordinate patient flow and entry of data into HIS and RIS/PACS
Support QA, QC, and continuous improvement programs
Contribute to training of technologists and students
Engage in teamwork and interprofessional collaboration
