Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiology procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist. This role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures for optimal diagnostic results.

Qualifications include ARRT registration, BLS, and Illinois Radiologic Technologist licensure, with an Associate's or Certificate in Radiologic Technology. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Certification: ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist
• BLS within 30 days: American Heart Association
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Illinois
• Education: Certificate/Associate in Radiologic Technology
• Related field work experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures accurately within department guidelines.
• Exhibits competency and serves as resource for staff during radiographic procedures.
• Ensures image quality with appropriate filters, collimation, markers and patient identification.
• Maintains patient comfort and radiation protection measures.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and room readiness; troubleshoots as needed.
• Processes and prepares images and paperwork promptly for timely reports.
• Manages patient flow and assists in transport when required.
• Enters patient information into HIS/PACS accurately.
• Contributes to QA, QC, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Trains staff and students; supports department protocol adherence.
