Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures for optimal diagnostic results.

Qualified candidates hold ARRT registration in Radiography, BLS, and Illinois Radiologic Technologist license, with educational credentials including a certificate and an associate degree in Radiologic Technology.

Qualifications

Certified radiologic technologist with ARRT registration and BLS within 30 days.
Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiography (Illinois IEMA).
Education includes a certificate and an associate degree in Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

Performs radiologic diagnostic procedures ensuring accurate examinations within guidelines and standards.
Exhibits competency and acts as resource person to staff.
Maintains image quality with proper filters, collimation, markers and patient identification.
Ensures patient comfort and adheres to radiation protection measures.
Maintains equipment knowledge and serves as a troubleshooting resource.
Keeps the work area clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
Performs laboratory testing as appropriate.
