Job summary

RTX seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to support Naval Radar programs at an RTX facility in MA. You will drive performance, develop tests, and troubleshoot complex radar systems while collaborating with customers and multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, DoD security clearance eligibility, and hands-on experience in systems integration, requirements, and verification. Onsite work in MA is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience integrating military systems: software, hardware, requirements, integration, or test.
• Experience with sensor systems, especially RADAR.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) systems.
• Experience generating technical documentation (test plans, procedures, reports).
• Experience in integration labs or field, supporting requirements development and verification.
• Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Drive Performance: lead cross-functional team to improve system performance and resolve issues.
• Testing: develop and implement test plans, procedures, and verification docs.
• Troubleshoot and Analyze: identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues via data analysis.
• Modeling and Simulation: use tools to predict system performance and support validation.
• Integrate Systems: integrate hardware/software into tactical systems and evaluate.
• Collaborate: work with customers and internal teams for seamless integration.
• Document and Communicate: create integration docs and communicate results to leaders.
• Data Analysis: analyze radar performance data and verify requirements.
• Requirements Development: decompose and track specifications across complex architectures.
• Support Missions: travel up to 10% for on-site activities at various locations.
