Job summary

Stripe Radar is seeking an experienced software engineer to build and operate fraud prevention systems at scale. You will work on backend services, enterprise APIs, and user-facing tools to help customers understand and stop fraud while protecting legitimate transactions.

You will own end-to-end projects, partner with product managers, designers, and data scientists, and scale systems across Stripe’s payments network.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend and/or full-stack development experience with ownership of large, ambiguous systems end-to-end.
• Strong coding skills in any language with production software experience.
• Demonstrated technical leadership from early definition through production launch.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate low-latency services that detect and prevent fraud at scale.
• Design APIs and dashboards for investigation and defense configuration.
• Develop shared platform to enable new Radar capabilities.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to bring signals and AI into production.
• Own projects end-to-end from design to rollout and iteration.
• Maintain high engineering quality, reliability, and speed to adapt to evolving threats.
