Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Fraud Architect to own proactive risk management for strategic users. You will refine Radar configurations, interpret signals, and translate findings into practical defenses while balancing fraud prevention with legitimate payment acceptance.

You will work with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to close gaps, improve rules, and guide customers through risk-led decisions. This is a hybrid role with global impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical role with substantial direct user engagement across payments, fintech, or risk platforms.
• Hands-on fraud investigation experience translating findings into controls and user guidance.
• Depth in payment fraud, account takeover, trial abuse, and multi-accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own each user’s prevention strategy with a current risk baseline and agreed prevention plan.
• Make Radar behavior understandable and actionable; explain observed behavior clearly.
• Design and improve protections; develop and validate user-facing rules and integration recommendations.
• Anticipate emerging fraud vectors and advise on defenses across payment methods and flows.
• Deliver proactive coverage with weekly risk-health reviews and clear incident follow-ups.
• Turn user evidence into product improvements through collaboration with product, engineering, and data science.
