Job summary

Stripe, Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer for Radar in San Francisco. You’ll build and scale fraud-prevention products and infrastructure, owning end-to-end delivery from design to production.

You’ll collaborate with product, design, and data science to deploy ML-driven signals and APIs that empower customers to prevent abuse while growing revenues. The role emphasizes system design, low-latency services, and a strong commitment to engineering quality in a fast-evolving security

Qualifications

• 10+ years backend and/or full-stack software development experience with end-to-end ownership.
• Strong coding skills and production software experience.
• Experience leading design and delivery of large, complex projects.
• Able to lead engineers and unblock a large project as senior IC.
• Hands-on coding as a senior IC leader recently.
• Comfort with cross-system collaboration and durable technical decisions.
• Experience building consumer products at scale with user trust.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate reliable, low-latency services that detect and prevent fraud at scale.
• Design APIs and dashboard experiences to help investigate threats and configure defenses.
• Develop shared platform infrastructure for Radar capabilities.
• Work with users to translate threats into broadly useful products.
• Partner with ML engineers to bring signals and AI into production.
• Own projects end to end from design through rollout and iteration.
• Uphold high engineering quality while moving quickly as threats evolve.
