Job summary

Dow Inc. in Collegeville, PA, leads a multidisciplinary R&D team to develop and commercialize innovations for the Cleaning Growth Platform. The Senior R&D Leader will oversee 13 FTEs across Collegeville and Midland, driving safe operations, portfolio prioritization, and strategic execution.

This role partners with global functions to deliver new products and growth opportunities. Preferred candidates hold advanced degrees and prior people leadership experience, with a track record in cleaning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant technical experience.
• Ability to lead teams and collaborate across functions.
• Strong commitment to safe operations and responsible research practices.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a multi-site R&D team; set priorities and allocate resources.
• Build organizational capability by attracting and retaining talent and aligning people with strategy.
• Ensure safe and compliant laboratory operations in Collegeville; champion EHS policies.
• Develop, prioritize, and manage Home Care Cleaning R&D portfolio and platforms.
• Lead cross-functional Front End Team and translate strategy into research priorities and plans.
• Oversee project delivery against milestones with rigorous methods and documentation.
• Champion new product innovation and IP strategies, including patent filings.
• Partner globally with Product R&D, TS&D, Process R&D, and other functions to advance research.
• Engage customers, universities, and external partners to support growth opportunities.
• Assess portfolio, identify gaps, and influence resource alignment and accountability.
• Manage operating budgets, capital plans, and investments for growth.
