Job summary

Dow Industrial Solutions seeks a Senior R&D Leader in the Collegeville, PA area to guide a 13-member, multi-site team delivering product and technology development for the Cleaning Growth Platform. You will manage safety, portfolio priorities, and cross-functional execution while driving innovation and IP strategy.

You will partner across Product R&D, Process R&D, and Commercial teams to deliver new products, technological platforms, and growth opportunities, shaping the future of Dow’s Cleaning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant technical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex technical work, and collaborate across functions.
• Strong commitment to safe operations and responsible research practices.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a multi-site R&D team; set priorities, allocate resources, manage performance, and foster engagement.
• Build organizational capability by attracting and retaining talent, conducting development discussions, and aligning people with business strategy.
• Ensure safe and compliant laboratory operations in Collegeville by championing EH&S policies, standards, and behaviors.
• Develop, prioritize, and manage Home Care Cleaning R&D portfolio and technology platforms, including stage-gate progression and ROI expectations.
• Lead cross-functional Cleaning Front End Team and translate business strategy into research priorities and execution plans.
• Oversee project delivery against milestones with rigorous scientific methods and clear documentation.
• Champion disciplined new product innovation and intellectual property strategies, including patent filings.
• Partner globally with Product R&D, TS&D, Process R&D, EI&G R&D, Marketing, and other functions to advance research and commercialization.
