Job summary

nVent is seeking a Senior R&D Engineering Project Manager for Data Solutions to lead cross-functional teams through the stage-gate NPI process from Discover to Deploy. You will manage schedules, coordinate design activities, and oversee regulatory testing, while driving risk management and process improvements.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in engineering with 2+ years in project management, and proficiency with MS Office 365 and Jira/Confluence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years of related engineering experience, including 2+ years in project management/leading teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 tools; Jira/Confluence experience preferred.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder communication.
• Willingness to travel ~10% domestically with potential for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to develop and design New Product Introduction products following a stage-gate process from Discover to Deploy and Launch.
• Drive, coordinate and maintain project schedules; lead engineering and design activities.
• Direct outside activities such as regulatory or third-party testing; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Manage a portfolio of projects, track KPIs and mitigate risks early.
• Identify, track and mitigate risks; drive process improvements to shorten development cycles.
• Communicate with stakeholders and ensure alignment across teams.
