Job summary

BD Urology and Critical Care (UCC) is seeking a talented Senior Engineer to join our High Volume Consumables R&D team, with a focus on early-stage design within the New Product Development (NPD) process. This role offers a unique opportunity to build expertise in Biodesign, requirements management, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), and design validation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a design/development engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
• Experience with design controls and regulated environments; knowledge of DFSS/DOE.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development activities within high-volume consumables R&D.
• Collaborate across functions to align requirements with product and business goals.
• Apply DFSS methodologies, DOE, and critical parameter management to evaluate design space.
• Navigate design control processes including phase gates and design reviews.
