Job summary

BD Urology and Critical Care (UCC) seeks a Senior Engineer to join our High Volume Consumables R&D team, focusing on early-stage design within NPD. You will gain hands-on experience in Biodesign, DFSS, DOE and design validation while collaborating with BD subject matter experts to shape next‑gen medical technologies.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years in medical device design, a BS in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in product design and development engineering, preferably within the medical device industry.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering or related fields is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• Proficient in design control process, development, and commercialization in regulated industry.
• Ability to appropriately plan and monitor R&D activities. Adjust to scope and timing changes.
• Application of engineering design process and statistical techniques in product development, such as Design for Six Sigma
