Job summary

Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) division in St. Paul, MN seeks a Sr. R&D Engineer to drive development of diagnostic, imaging, and ablation catheters and EP capital equipment.

You will lead requirement development, testing, data analysis, validation work, and serve as a clinical consultant on workflows and risk documentation. You will collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and contributing to publication-ready results and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or life science field.
• 5+ years of R&D experience in the medical device industry.
• Experience with preclinical testing methods.
• Experience with EnSite mapping or similar systems is valued.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide feedback on clinical workflows and use of EP products.
• Support development of risk management documentation.
• Design, conduct/supervise bench and preclinical studies for feasibility and regulatory submission.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct empirical analysis and experiments.
• Organize and analyze data and write reports on results.
