Job summary

Abbott in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead the Electrophysiology Systems Engineering team. You will define system behavior, architecture, performance, and integration for next-generation Ablation technologies within a clinical device context.

You will guide product development from concept to launch, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with hardware, software, catheter teams, and product marketing to shape design inputs and meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, 11+ years in complex hardware/software/signal-processing systems.
• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Ability to communicate across multiple levels in the organization.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical and business strategy for major system-level programs.
• Design and develop products for cardiac mapping and ablation.
• Provide system engineering leadership from concept through launch.
• Lead cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges and drive research.
