Job summary

Abbott in Saint Paul, MN is hiring a Sr. R&D Engineer in the Electrophysiology (EP) division. You will join a product development team focused on diagnostic, imaging, and ablation catheters and EP capital equipment.

You will lead requirement development, testing, data analysis, and regulatory support, while serving as a clinical consultant on workflows and risk evaluation. Collaboration across function is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/BME or equivalent.
• 5+ years of R&D experience in medical devices.
• Experience with preclinical testing methods preferred.
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical workflow insights for EP products and processes.
• Support risk management documentation and regulatory submissions.
• Plan and conduct bench and preclinical studies for product concepts.
• Analyze experimental data and write clear reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
