Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials seeks an R&D Engineer/Scientist to lead development and commercialization of advanced packaging materials for 2.5D/3D integration. The role partners with customers to translate challenges into scalable product solutions, while coordinating with R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams.

You will design experiments, run simulations, and analyze data to optimize materials and processes, supporting transition from concept to market.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Chemistry.
• 3+ years of hands-on industry or research experience in packaging module development for next-generation semiconductor technologies.
• Proven experience bridging R&D with customer needs and acting as a technical market liaison.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and commercialization of materials and technologies for advanced semiconductor packaging from concept to scale-up.
• Collaborate with customers to understand challenges and identify new product opportunities.
• Generate data via simulation, modeling, and experiments to solve thermal management issues at chip and package levels.
• Work with cross-functional teams to transition technologies into production.
• Establish material specifications and qualification requirements for manufacturing readiness.
