Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly motivated Senior Quality Control Inspector to support a cutting-edge spaceflight program in Mesa, AZ. You will ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance for engines, avionics, and flight hardware, acting as a quality authority across spacecraft.

You will conduct scheduled and final inspections, review records, and generate NCRs, while collaborating with engineering, management, and production teams to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of aerospace/aviation experience.
• Experience in MRO or airline environment.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing docs and work instructions.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with inspection standards and QMS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspections to ensure workmanship meets industry standards.
• Conduct preliminary, in-progress, and final inspections on all processed articles.
• Review manufacturing records for completeness and accuracy prior to release for return to service.
• Inspect for defects, damage, identification, and dimensional accuracy using measurement tools and techniques.
• Document inspection results and quality data accurately.
• Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in TipQA and/or Apriso.
• Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials as required.
• Lead or support RCCA investigations and quality improvement projects.
• Provide technical guidance and training to other Quality Inspectors.
