Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector in Santa Barbara, CA to perform in-process inspections of space flight products. You will read drawings, use calipers and micrometers, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in quality inspection in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Proficiency with mechanical inspection devices (calipers, micrometers).
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS 9100 standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• In-process inspection and evaluation of space flight product components.
• Read and interpret drawings/blueprints to ensure specs.
• Use mechanical inspection devices for product evaluation.
• Perform dimensional inspection with calipers and micrometers.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment per standards.
• Document inspection results and feed data into quality database.
• Collaborate with engineering to fix quality issues and improve product quality.
• Provide training on quality control activities.
