Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Quality Inspector to inspect and accept qualification and flight hardware and software before launch. The role focuses on avionics and spacecraft integration and will be based at the Production and Test facility north of Cedar Park in Briggs, TX.

You will develop inspection programs, document nonconformances, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions while maintaining calibration and 5S standards in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; 8 years in aerospace, military, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read technical drawings, IPC standards, and GD&T.
• Experience with aerospace quality standards and government specs.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility with workflow and process.
• Desired: Associate degree or higher in quality engineering.
• IPC Certifications and NASA standards familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Inspect launch vehicles, spacecraft components, and subassemblies.
• Develop and execute inspection programs ensuring design specs and testing requirements.
• Document nonconformances and coordinate corrective actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Must be able to support 2nd Shift Monday Friday 3pm 1130pm Perform inspections on launch vehiclespacecraft components and sub assemblies mechanical electrical electro mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic focused on avionics and spacecraft integrationDevelop and execute detailed inspection programs which assure adherence to design specification and testing requirements ensuring that all actions required for product acceptance are conducted accurately and efficientlyDocument non conformances in accordance with prescribed procedures and process as requiredCollaborate with cross functional teams to investigate and resolve non conformance or quality issues including development and implementation of robust corrective actions to prevent reoccurrencesQuarantine and process non conforming productMaintain tool control and calibration processes within assigned work center including validation of metrology systemsParticipate in technical operations and offer guidance andor serve as an additional technical resourceInitiate and execute plans to improve product quality and inspection efficiencyApply 5S workplace organization & follow the Lean initiativesSupport manufacturing compliance to customer and internal specifications to meet contractual and mission requirementsPerform other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
