Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Technical Quality Assurance Inspector IV to perform expert-level inspections of manufacturing goods during and after production. You will interpret complex prints, diagrams, and wire lists to approve or reject assemblies, ensuring top-quality results and compliance with industry standards.

You will document findings, lead root-cause analyses, draft instructions, mentor junior inspectors, and support cross-functional teams in continuous improvement and audits.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Certifications: NASA and IPC industry standard certifications.
• Completion of advanced GD&T training.
• Advanced understanding of technical schematics and documents.
• Advanced understanding of electrical wiring standards and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint and Excel).
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
• Experience drafting work instructions and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert-level inspections of manufacturing goods during and at the end of production.
• Interpret complex prints and diagrams to approve or reject assemblies.
• Document inspection results and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Lead root-cause analysis and contribute to corrective actions.
• Mentor Level I-III inspectors and support audits.
