Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to ensure the highest standards of product and process quality across the lifecycle. The role leads quality initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and collaborates across design, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction.

Strong expertise in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, RCA/ CAPA, SPC, and Six Sigma is required. The successful candidate will mentor teams, participate in NPI, and develop training programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in quality engineering in manufacturing or assembly.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Experience with RCA methodologies (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys) and CAPA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QMS in line with ISO 9001.
• Lead RCA and CAPA processes for quality issues.
• Conduct internal and external audits for standards compliance.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain to embed quality.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and preventative actions.
• Develop quality training programs for staff.
• Support NPI with quality considerations from start.
• Assist in customer complaint investigations and resolutions.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
