Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY USA INC is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality across products and processes from concept to delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams to embed quality, apply Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven analytics, and build sustainable solutions for customer satisfaction.

You will develop and maintain quality management systems, conduct audits, and analyze trends to prevent issues while supporting new product introductions with rigorous quality planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years quality engineering experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 (IATF experience a plus).
• Experience with root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, and control plans.
• Certification in CQE or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of quality management systems aligned with ISO standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance and improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate quality across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and proactively address risks.
• Support new product introduction with strong quality planning.
• Lead training initiatives to strengthen quality awareness and capability.
• Investigate customer concerns and deliver timely, effective resolutions.
