Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives across product and process quality, driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

This role involves implementing and maintaining QMS, leading RCA/CAPA, and participating in internal/external audits. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle, analyze data, and deliver quality training while supporting NPI and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive quality engineering exp in manufacturing/assembly; electrical domain preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949.
• Experience with RCA methodologies (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys) and CAPA processes.
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, and control plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QMS per ISO 9001.
• Lead RCA and CAPA processes for quality issues.
• Conduct internal and external audits for compliance and improvements.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain to integrate quality requirements.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and proactive solutions.
• Develop and deliver quality training across all levels.
• Participate in NPI processes to address quality from early stages.
• Support customer complaint investigations and resolution.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
