Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to shape quality standards across products and processes. You will lead cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, embedding quality from concept to delivery using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven analytics.

You will guide audits, define quality planning for new products, and drive continual improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing or assembly.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; IATF experience a plus.
• Expertise in root cause analysis tools: 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone.
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, and control plans.
• CQE or Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of quality management systems aligned with ISO standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance and improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate quality across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and proactively address risks.
• Support new product introduction with strong quality planning.
• Lead training initiatives to strengthen quality awareness and capability.
• Investigate customer concerns and deliver timely, effective resolutions.
