Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to advance quality standards across products and processes. You will lead quality initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, embedding quality throughout the lifecycle from concept to delivery.

Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven analytics to identify trends, prevent issues, and build sustainable solutions. You will mentor teams and drive improvements delivering measurable customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing or assembly.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001 (IATF a plus).
• Expertise with root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Experience with SPC, FMEA, and control plans.
• CQE or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of quality management systems aligned with ISO standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance and improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate quality across the product lifecycle.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and proactively address risks.
• Support new product introduction with strong quality planning.
• Lead training initiatives to strengthen quality awareness and capability.
• Investigate customer concerns and deliver timely, effective resolutions.
