Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer to lead quality initiatives in a water-cooled manufacturing environment in Charlotte, NC. The role emphasizes problem-solving, process improvement, and compliance with ASME and ISO standards.

Responsibilities include supervising technicians, conducting design reviews, PFMEA, and controlling key product characteristics to reduce defects and waste. Strong data analysis, communication, and cross-functional collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with manufacturing experience.
• Experience in quality/manufacturing engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly water-cooled quality technicians (both shifts).
• Lead problem-solving teams to analyze and resolve internal/external issues.
• Proactively identify & lead first pass yield improvement projects.
• Lead and/or participate in scrap reduction and process improvement projects with other functions.
• Participate in Design Reviews, PFMEA and Control Plan development and plan appropriate actions to reduce RPN.
• Proactively investigate ways to improve the process to reduce waste, scrap, and customer escapes.
• Track and report Quality KPIs for the area; present data to management.
