Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Engineering field.
• 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience with a University degree.
• OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical systems and practical knowledge of ASME standards and MIG welding.
• Ability to work independently on the second shift while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing design, operations sequencing, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes and layouts to enhance manufacturability and utilization of equipment.
• Troubleshoot production floor issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Plan the layout of assembly and materials handling operations and sequences for efficiency.
• Create tooling and fixtures; maintain process documentation and quality plans.
• Support existing product line design activities and operational modifications.
• Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma initiatives and Kaizen events.
• Mentor second-shift staff to ensure consistent execution of standard work.
• Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and OSHA policies.
