Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer on the second shift to optimize processes, improve quality, and sustain world-class manufacturing standards on the water-cooled applied chiller production line.

You will troubleshoot mechanical issues, lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience; or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; practical knowledge of ASME standards and MIG welding.

Responsibilities

• Process design, optimization, and layout improvements to maximize manufacturability and equipment utilization.
• Technical troubleshooting on the production floor to minimize downtime.
• Workflow design and sequencing to boost efficiency and quality.
• Design and development of tooling and fixtures; maintain process documentation and quality plans.
• Support existing product lines and implement operational changes to meet business needs.
• Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen events, and root-cause analysis.
