Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking an established Quality Engineering professional to join as an individual contributor. You will set objectives for your area, influence policy, and drive improvements in quality processes across manufacturing, service, and supply chain functions.

You will protect external quality metrics, lead cross-functional interfaces with operations, and analyze plant claims to guide containment and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
• 4+ years in Quality Management, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Operations within a manufacturing facility.
• Experience working through ISO9001 certification and internal auditing.
• Robust skills of data manipulation, interpretation and analysis.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Access).

Responsibilities

• Protect and drive external performance metrics such as Claim Count, Warranty and Customer Escapes PPM.
• Interface between service, sales/marketing and manufacturing functions.
• Analyze plant customer claims and triage corrective actions based on cost/occurrence/high-profile escapes.
• Foster a bilateral continuous improvement culture and coordinate with Carrier Commercial Services and Technical Service Managers.
• Support Schedule Q process for projects to improve customer satisfaction.
• Document and implement containment and corrective actions.
• Summarize and report progress on external quality metrics.
• Coordinate field returns to trigger deep root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
