Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for the Hot Section Module Center (HSMC) in East Hartford to support quality activities in production and development of turbine airfoils. You will partner with shop floor and inspection staff to ensure robust quality, lead investigations, and support audits.

The role requires a STEM degree with several years in engineering or manufacturing quality, experience with inspection tooling, and familiarity with AS9100 principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM or related field with 3+ years (Master’s with 3+ years) experience in engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiar with inspection tooling and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the inspection and manufacturing communities; interface with shop floor operators and inspection staff.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and hardware to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
• Support day-to-day manufacturing activities including review/approval of work instructions, PARs, and first article inspections (FAI).
• Perform data analysis of quality nonconformances and support root-cause investigations with corrective actions.
