Job summary

RTX EHRO Operations in East Hartford seeks a senior Quality Assurance Manager to lead the site’s QA program, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and internal requirements while guiding continuous improvement. The role partners with engineering, operations and regulatory teams to uphold product integrity and operational excellence.

The role reports to the General Manager and sits on the senior management team, with responsibilities spanning quality systems, audits, training, and risk

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of experience in Quality, Engineering or Operations in aviation/aerospace/defense or equivalent regulated industry, with advanced degree, or alternative combinations as listed.
• Minimum 5+ years in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or MRO operations.
• Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHRO Quality Assurance across the site, ensuring compliance with FAA, EASA, CAAC, UK and other regulators, customers and internal standards.
• Lead the Quality Engineering team and drive collaboration with operations and engineering to meet quality objectives.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) including audits, corrective actions, and document control.
• oversee investigation and closure of quality escapes, nonconformances and customer issues; ensure robust root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Provide strategic leadership for continuous improvement of quality processes, metrics and performance.
• Support readiness and execution of customer, regulatory and third-party audits; act as primary quality interface with customer teams.
• Ensure consistent application of inspection standards and documentation across EHRO; oversee training programs for quality personnel.
• Monitor site performance indicators, analyze trends, and drive proactive quality risk mitigation.
