Job summary

RTX invites applications for a Senior Quality Engineer at the Hot Section Module Center South (HSMC-S). You will partner with manufacturing and inspection teams to ensure turbine airfoils meet engineering, customer, and regulatory requirements, driving root cause analysis and robust corrective actions.

You will evaluate processes, review work instructions, perform FAI, and support audits while improving quality across complex manufacturing challenges in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM or related field with 5+ years in manufacturing, or Advanced Degree with 3+ years in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with inspection tooling and techniques.
• Knowledge of quality systems and standards such as AS9100.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team with shop floor personnel.
• Proficient in continuous improvement tools like RRCA and lean manufacturing.
• ASQ CQE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical quality partner to manufacturing and inspection teams on the shop floor to identify process risks and resolve quality issues.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and hardware for compliance with applicable requirements.
• Support day-to-day manufacturing activities including review and approval of work instructions, PARs, and FAI.
• Analyze quality nonconformances and determine root cause.
• Assist in shop non‑compliance investigations and track corrective actions.
• Support preparation for third-party and customer quality audits; participate in product escape investigations.
• Create and present quality presentations to technical teams.
