Job summary

RTX in East Hartford, CT seeks a quality/engineering professional to provide technical support to inspection and manufacturing teams, interfacing directly with shop floor operators and inspectors. You will evaluate processes for compliance and assist with work instructions and first article inspections.

Responsibilities include data analysis of nonconformances, supporting root-cause investigations, audit preparation, and participation in corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM or related field with 5+ years engineering/manufacturing experience, or Master’s Degree with 3+ years.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiar with inspection tooling and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the inspection and manufacturing communities; interface directly with shop floor operators and inspection staff.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and hardware to determine compliance to applicable requirements.
• Support day-to-day manufacturing activities such as review and approval of work instructions, process authorization requests (PAR), and first article inspections (FAI).
• Perform data analysis of quality nonconformances.
• Support shop non-compliance investigations to determine root cause, identifying robust corrective actions and tracking effectiveness.
• Support preparation efforts for third party and customer quality audits.
• Support product escape investigations and population bounding efforts.
• Construct and perform quality presentations to a technical community.
