Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Quality Control Manager to be located on a Hastings, Nebraska project. You will lead the QC program, direct commissioning, and oversee inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of six years of construction QC/QA experience; proven leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the commissioning process, startup plan, scheduling and functional testing.
• Oversee inspections during commissioning to meet customer specs and timelines.
• Lead project closeout activities including manuals, turnover, and training.
• Serve as main contact with owner and on-site representative.
• Resolve commissioning issues and coordinate factory witness testing.
• Manage the QC program and ensure testing and certifications are delivered.
• Coordinate QC staff, testing lab personnel and inspection resources.
• Review submittals for plans compliance and workflow efficiency.
• Communicate quality information with owner, PM, superintendent and subs.
