Job summary

Grunley Construction seeks a Quality Control Manager to ensure materials and workmanship meet contract requirements on high-profile projects in the DMV. This role reports to the Vice President and collaborates with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and Project Executive.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management (or an associate’s with 10 years’ experience), be US citizens, and hold a current USACE CQM certificate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field with a minimum of five (5) years of construction experience or an associate’s degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience.
• Must have working knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures and practices with the Corp of Engineers.
• Current USACE CQM Management Certificate.
• US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Develop Quality Control Plan for submission
• Review and approve work plans
• Review and approve product submissions
• Plan for and Conduct Three-Phase Inspection Program
• Quality Control Inspections: develop/test log and verify materials
• Prepare daily reports
• Safety support: document accidents and coordinate photos
